About the speakers

Wayne Clarke is an employee engagement, internal communications and change management professional with 10 years' experience gained within three global professional service firms. Clarke has worked extensively throughout Europe and North America in the design and delivery of a range of employee engagement, internal communications, change and knowledge management initiatives, both in-house and for a range of clients.

 

Clarke is the Managing Partner of the Best Companies™ Partnership LLP (BCP). The purpose of the BCP is to help organisations deliver on their growth strategies and fulfil their organisational purpose through improved workplace engagement.

 

John Smythe is partner and deputy chairman of Engage Group, which aims to be the leading consultancy and creative services group advising on and delivering the best ways to help organisations engage their leaders and employees in delivering high performance and creative workplace cultures which attract the best talent.

Previously John founded Engage for Change, a consultancy dedicated to advising on engaging leaders and everyone at work to drive change, transform organizations and raise day to day business performance. 

John co-founded SmytheDorwardLambert in 1989, a consultancy which was acknowledged to be the thought leader in organizational communication, change communication/leadership and change management.  The firm was sold to Omnicom in a trade sale which was completed in 2000.  John stayed on until summer 2003

John was then invited by McKinsey and Company to take a short term (10 months) role as a visiting Organizational Fellow undertaking research among sixty corporations and institutions in Europe and North America into current approaches to engaging leaders and employees to driving strategy and change.
